So I haven’t posted for a while, but I figured that the best way to start back up, is to just do it. And what better way than to start with last month’s empties?
Nov empties 1

When I looked in my empties basket this month, I was very surprised to see how full it was. I didn’t realize how many products I used up, but since I’ve had a lot enter my house lately, this is good.

I usually organize my empties in order of how I liked products, but when I took pictures this month, I grouped by product type. So that’s how I’ll describe them.

Nov empties 2
Pantene Natural Fusion Shampoo in Moisture Balance – This was an okay cleansing shampoo, but was too drying to use all the time. I would maybe buy again.

Nov empties 3
Amore Pacific Future Response Age Defense Creme – Not really a big enough sample to form a solid opinion, but it seemed like an old lady style cream.

Olay Complete All Day UV Moisture Creme – This was my go-to moisturizer for the last few years, but having tried some new brands, I realize this is quite thick, and may be contributing to my oily skin and breakouts. I won’t rebuy again.

H2O+ Face Oasis hydrating treatment – This is a smaller sample than the one I reviewed perviously, but I think it’s the same product. Oddly enough, I found this sample was okay: not sticky, and didn’t cause breakouts, but I’m not sure what the difference was. I won’t rebuy due to the conflicting results.

Bare Minerals Advance Protection SPF 20 Moisturizer – I didn’t like the feeling (too thick) or smell (chemically), so no rebuy on this.

Every Beauty Makeup Remover Pads – These worked okay, but were nothing special, so no rebuy.

La Fresh Cleansing Wipes – All three varieties were very wet and a good size. They didn’t take off eye makeup very easily though, I really had to scrub. No rebuy since it was too much work.

Pretty Yummy hand lotion in Vanilla Lime – Only one scent this month, and it’s my new favourite. I’ve already rebought 3-4 of this scent, even with my huge stash of other scents.

B Kamins Brightening Mask – I did a full review on this, and while I liked it, the price is way too high to rebuy.

Balea Pore Minimizing Face Mask in Black Currant & SoybeanMy full review explains why I hated this, and why I pledge never to buy Balea masks again.

NYC Smooth Skin Liquid Makeup in Ivory – I’m pitching this. The colour is a good match, but it’s too heavy. It’s so thick that I needed to scoop out the product with an orange stick, it will not pore out of the bottle no matter how many ketchup tricks I try. I don’t usually wear full foundation anyway, so I’m not really upset.

Hard Candy Ginormous Lash Volumizing Mascara in Carbon Black – This is my holy grail of mascaras so far, and I’ve used up my tube. This is a definite repurchase, once I use up some samples I got recently.

elf Lengthening & Defining Mascara – This had a brush that was teeny, and the formula was way too dry, so no repurchase. I was only able to use 3-4 times before it was too dry to apply.

Maybelline Expert Eyes Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover – I’m pitching this. I tried so hard to use it up, but it’s like applying baby oil to your face. It does remove eye makeup without causing any stinging, but it feels my face feeling really gross. I have a better remover now, so I’m okay with pitching and never rebuying.

That’s all the products I used or pitched in November. Have you tried any of them?

  1. Welcome back! 🙂
I haven’t tried any of these products, but I have the Hard Candy mascara in my untried pile so I should get to it soon.
