I was recently sent a Body Shop eye shadow to try. My only experiences with The Body Shop have been their body butters (love!) and their perfume (Pink Pepper was my signature scent for years before it was discontinued), so I was very excited to see what the makeup would be like.

I received the shade Oh Honey, which is a light champagne colour.

The shadow comes in a plastic clamshell with a transparent lid. I love that you can see the shade easily, so there is no work required to pick the one you want. The clamshell opens easily, yet still closes securely.

I swatched with my finger, half on bare skin and half over NYX Eyeshadow Base in White.

The shadow is soft and buttery and easy to apply. It is well pigmented for such a light shade, and I had virtually no fallout. As you can see, it doesn’t need primer, and the wear is the great. It lasted all day without fading or creasing whether I used primer or not.

Oh Honey swatch flash

This shadow has a bit of shimmer pop when seen with flash, but in ordinary light, it is a gorgeous neutral with just a hint of shimmer. I have found myself reaching for this whenever I want to create a simple, neutral look.

Buy again?: Yes! I want all the shades. There are 22 current shades available, and at $10 each, I can’t afford them all, but I still want them all.

Based on the positive reviews and gorgeous pictures that Julie from Swatch and Review (Grape Expectations) and Megan from Megan Joy (Something Blue) shared, I’d love to start with those shades. But Chat Me Up Lime and Black Currant Affair look awesome too. I really do want them all.

Here’s some photo proof that I’ve been using this shadow a lot lately:

  1. I’ve only heard good things about their eyeshadows, I think I need to add a few to my stash.
I love all the looks you did with this!
