One of the brands from the London Drugs event that I had heard of but never really used was Annabelle Cosmetics. This is a Canadian brand who happens to be the July Canadian Beauty Bloggers brand of the month.
While at the LD event, I received a number of Annabelle products, and together they form a cohesive full look, which I’m showing off today.
The products I’m using today are:
Instaglam Eyeliner + Mascara touch-up in Abyss – This product has a black marker style eyeliner on one end, and a coloured mascara on the other. I love that the eyeliner is really black, and I find this shape really easy to use. The mascara however, is really dry, and the colour was not really noticeable on my lashes once the mascara dried.
TwistUp Retractable Eyeshadow Crayon in Taupe – Taupe is a soft neutral shade with quite a bit of shimmer. It lasts all day on the lower part of my eyelid, but does crease right in my crease.
Lipliner in Buff – Confession: I’ve never used a lipliner before. This applied relatively easily, without drying my lips too much. It’s pretty close to my natural lip colour, just a touch more nude.
Shenae Grimes-Beech BIGSHOW Lip Shine – This is a very shiny nude lip gloss. It felt moisturizing and comfortable.
Biggy Zebra Bronzing Powder – Why are bronzers so big? There is lots of product, and it’s easy to swirl onto your brush, but I’ll never finish this as I require only a little swirl for each use. This bronzer is a touch dark for me, but it’s still usable when I use a very light hand.
Overall, I really like the eyeshadow and want to get a few of the other available colours. The mascara was a bust for me, but I did enjoy the eyeliner. The lip products aren’t really in colours I normally wear, but I enjoyed the feel of them. The bronzer requires careful use, but works well.
This may be my first taste of Annabelle Cosmetics products, but it certainly won’t be my last.
