I was browsing the holiday gift set selection at Walmart recently, since I obviously need more bath products, and I was wishing that more sets were shower gel/body scrub/body butter combinations since those are the products I’m most interested in trying. Then BAM! A whole display of NSPA gift sets with just that selection in a variety of holiday scents.
After spending way too long sniffing all the scratch-and-sniff stickers (love them!), I decided to pick up the Cheeky Chocolate Cranberry set for only $14.
This set is beautifully packaged and would make a great looking gift, if you peeled off or blacked out the price sticker. But I didn’t do either, instead, I ripped it open to get to the products. Those products are securely in there. Not only are they sitting in the molded plastic, there are glue dots holding them in place. It was a little insane.
But I finally got into them, and have been using the products for a week. And quite liking them I’ll add.
The Chocolate Cranberry scent is a lot more mild than I expected. It’s light and not at all what I expected. If I did a blind scent test, I’d describe it as orange and something, with no idea what that something is. Not chocolate or cranberry at all, but it is still pleasant.
The body scrub is gentle. It provides some exfoliation, but you’ll get a lot more just using the loofah. The shower gel lathers well and doesn’t dry out my skin. The body butter is very smooth and soft, but still quite thick and luxurious. It passes the door knob test (I can escape the bathroom within 30 seconds of applying) and leaves my skin soft all day.
Overall, I am quite impressed at the products. The scent isn’t quite what I was expecting, but it is nice. I’m seriously tempted to go pick up the other holiday gift sets since the other scent options are chocolate caramel, caramel fudge and gingerbread. Yum!
