I’ve seen a few people do the Addicted to Blush tag, and thought I’d join in.

Blush collection-July 2015

My blush collection as of July 2015

1/ What colour suits you the most?
I really love orange blush, as well as dusty pinks. Orange looks fresh and young, while pinks add a nice flush of natural colour.

2/ Pressed/Cream/Loose blush?
Pressed powder blush all the way. Me and cream blushes just don’t seem to mesh.

3/ Favourite matte blush?
My Essence Kalinka blush, which was limited edition, and is a true orange. I really wish Essence would come out with an orange blush in their permanent line.

4/ Favourite shimmery blush?
I don’t tend to like shimmery blushes much, but Hard Candy in Honeymoon is quite nice. I also quite like my Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Blusher in Rose Cushion, which is shimmery.

5/ Favourite cream blush?
I only own one cream blush, and it’s actually a mousse: the Essence Dark Romance blush. It’s quite unique.

6/ Favourite drugstore blush?
That would be the majority of my collection, but all the Essence blushes are amazing.

7/ Favourite high end blush?
Do I even own anything high end, lol? Can I count Mary Kay and Lise Watier as high end as they are some of the most expensive in my collection?

8/ Favourite bright blush?
My Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in Raspberry Tarte is quite bright pink, but blends nicely. My Mary Kay in Spiced Poppy is probably the most pigmented blush I have.

9/ Biggest blush disappointment/regret?
My City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon is quite disappointing as it fades really quickly. Most blushes last all day for me, and this one definitely doesn’t.

10/ Best blush packaging?
Korean Beauty blushes (Etude House and The Face Shop) have such cute packaging. They also came with adorable powder puffs.

11/ What’s on your blush wishlist?
Oh, so much. I want all The Face Shop blushes in the Lovely ME:EX Blusher line, and I also want more Tonymoly Cristal Blushers as they are super soft. I also want more orange and purple options in my collection to help round out all the pink options.

12/ #1 Holy Grail blush?
I’m not entirely sure, but if I base this on the blushes I reach for most often, that would be either my Essence Kalinka blush or my Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color Duos in Juicy Guava. Both are orange-ish shades, by the way.

So there you have it, all kinds of info about my blush collection. Do I have anything you own and love? Do you have any orange or purple blush suggestions for me?

  1. Hmmm does Autumn Peach count as an orange blush (essence’s main line), although I guess the name does indicate more peach than orange…

  2. Ahhh, I love orange blushes but it wasn’t really until this year that I delved into them! I don’t own any true orange shades though, as the closest ‘orange’ I have is Tarte’s Tipsy, which is a coral-ish orange. It seems that orange blushes aren’t really a thing in the drugstore–would’ve loved to try the Essence Kalinka blush! (And ugh, the Koreans basically have their beauty packaging game down)
