Have you heard of Schaf Skincare before? They’re a natural and organic skincare line that uses the tagline “Practice Safe Skincare”. Their product line is very small, just 5 products, and I have 3 here today.

Schaf Skincare

The White Lava Purifying Scrub is made with biodegradable lava and apricot powder in a foaming cleanser base. At first, I was concerned because the product is very thick, and I had to go ketchup bottle on the container to get any out. By that I mean shake it really hard upside down and then remove the cap and hit into my palm to get anything out. I think that the product must have just hardened slightly on top though, because after the first few uses I was able to get the product out with little effort.

This is a very abrasive scrub. It reminded me a lot of St Ives Apricot Scrub in terms of both feel and effectiveness. Both are very harsh, and should be used very gently. If you like a lot of abrasion, you’d probably enjoy this, but if you have sensitive skin, I’d suggest skipping it.

The Nutritive Daily Moisturizer contains hyaluronic acid for oil-free hydration, and a blend of Avocado, Grapeseed, Pumpkin, and Shea Butter. This is a nice, light weight moisturizer that is almost completely scent-free.

My favourite part of this product is the container. It has a pump top that is hygienic and easy to use. It does pump too much product out at once though. I found a half a pump gave the right amount of product to do my whole face.

The Nutritive Daily Eye Cream was the product I was most excited to try. It contains hyaluronic acid and Coenzyme Q10. It’s a thick, slightly yellow cream that absorbed quickly and without causing puffiness (which is an issue I have with a lot of eye creams). I do find that it leaves my eyes slightly greasy feeling, so I choose to only use this at night.

The container is similar to the moisturizer in that it has a convenient pump top that dispenses too much product. Again, you only need about half a pump to do both eyes.

Overall, I enjoyed trying this line of products from Schaf Skincare. The eye cream stood out as the star of the line up. If you’re looking for a new eye cream, and want to venture into the world of natural products, this is one you should consider.

  1. I’ve been using these too and I really like all of the products! The yellow tint in the eye cream makes my under eyes look slightly less blue! 😛

    • Do you use the eye cream just at night or in the morning too? I haven’t noticed the tint making the appearance of my eyes different, but I never look too closely at night anyway.

  2. My scrub was super chunky like that too! I’ve been really enjoying these products otherwise.
