Back in December, I was part of the Canadian Beauty Bloggers Secret Santa exchange (actually I ran it this year), and was super excited to get a skincare item from my wishlist. The Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Mini Collection is a set that I’ve heard a lot about, and really wanted to try.

This set comes with three items: Truth Serum Collagen Booster, Sheer Transformation Brightening Moisturizer and Invigorating Night Gel.

Unfortunately, after trying all three items for 2 weeks, I have to admit that I only liked one of them.

My favourite product of the set, and the only one I liked, is the Truth Serum Collagen Booster. It’s an orange scented gel serum that absorbs really fast. I’m not sure if it’s giving the long term firming effect that it claims, but it does make my face feel fresh and invigorated. I have noticed feeling less droopy on mornings I’m really tired, so maybe the firming action is working. One can only hope.

The Invigorating Night Gel made my skin really dry, and some areas even started flaking. I tried reducing the frequency of use to every other night, but the dryness occurred immediately after every use.

The Sheer Transformation Brightening Moisturizer seemed okay, but much too thin for this time of year. I might try it again in the summer when I need a lighter moisturizer, but for now, it did nothing for my skin.

Overall, it was a bit disappointing to learn that this much beloved little set wasn’t amazing for me, but I still greatly appreciated receiving the chance to try it.

  1. With you on the gel. I LOVE the Truth Booster and when I finish a few other products I’m buying a full-size.

The moisturizer is good in the summer, but NOT for winter.

  2. I love the serum too! I think that moisturizer is definitely not for the winter though!

  3. Aww too bad 2/3 were kinda duds. That serum sounds pretty good though add it’s not often you actually see discernible results so quickly!
