Where has the time gone? I can’t believe it, but I haven’t posted an Amoda Tea unboxing since December. I’ve been getting the box every month, but just keep forgetting to talk about before all the tea is gone.
So what’s in my April box?
Wild Woman – a black tea with blueberry
This tea isn’t in most boxes. Instead, people got Sock It to Me. I’ve purchased larger quantities of this tea in the past (it’s yummy!), so before the box shipped, I got an email asking if I wanted to switch it out for a different tea. I said yes, but after seeing that this tea has a special dedication on the description card as the blender is no longer in business, I feel a little sad and wish I hadn’t switched.
Creamy Hazelnut – green tea with hazelnut flavour
This is a very mild tasting tea that is quite soothing.
Prickly Pear – rooibos with prickly pear and rose flavours
Oh rooibos. This is the only tea I haven’t tried yet as the description says the rooibos is “quite forward”, and I make no secret about not enjoying the taste of rooibos.
Juniper Berry – a black tea with juniper and raspberry
For a black tea, this is super mild. It’s yummy, but has a very subtle flavour, which is not usual for black tea.
As always, the description card is thoughtfully written, with lots of information about the teas. As I mentioned, there is a special note about Sock It to Me at the top.
Amoda Tea has been doing a monthly contest on their Instagram for the last few months, and this month is no exception: follow @amodatea on Instagram and tag @amodatea #amodatea in your tea photos for a chance to win 2 of your favourite monthly box teas.
If you need some suggestions of Amoda Teas to try, you can check out the offerings on their website (the tasting box is $18 per month with free shipping) or read my past monthly reviews (going back to March 2015), or jump straight to my round-up of favourites.
