I love trying new shower products. There is something so fun about skincare, even if it isn’t colourful like makeup. So I was super happy to receive a trio of Caprina Goat’s Milk products to try. Skincare that’s Canadian? Sounds lovely.

I received three products: Fresh Goat’s Milk Soap Original Formula, Body Lotion in Shea Butter and Body Wash in Orchid Oil. Three products, in three different scents.

I’m going to come back to the bar soap, but for now, let’s skip it.

The body lotion is nice. I’m not really a body lotion fan, I prefer thicker body butter, but this was nice. It absorbed quickly and had a very mild scent. It was moisturizing, and would be good as a summer product.

The body wash was really nice. It lathers really easily, and had a lot of super soft lather. It sounds funny to describe bubbles as soft, but the lather has such tiny bubbles that it really does feel soft and foamy. It has a mild orchid scent, very light and spring-like.

Now on to the bar soap. I’ve mentioned before that I’m really not a bar soap person. So I thought I’d get my husband to use it, since he likes bar soap. Well, that’s always an adventure.
“I have some soap you need to try and then tell me what you think. I’ll put it in the shower for you.”
“What is it, is it normal soap?”
“It’s goat’s milk soap.”
“Why can’t you ever get me normal stuff to try?”
“Goat’s milk is normal. Just try it.”

The next day….
“Did you try the soap?”
“Yeah, it’s normal.”
“…. can I get a bit more detail? Did you like it? Did it have a scent? Did it lather nicely? Details please.”
“It was nice. Like normal soap. What more do you want me to say?”

So there you go. The bar soap is husband-approved. With lots of details. /*sarcasm alert*/

Overall, I really like the Caprina Goat’s Milk products. They are all moisturizing and soft on the skin. I love the Orchid Oil scent the most, it’s a great spring scent, light and mild floral. I wish there was a body butter, but I’m happy with rebuying the body wash, and I might pick up a foaming milk bath for my son since he loves bubble baths.

PR sample for review.

  1. Hahaha your husbands review is amazing. My husband really liked the soap too, I was happy to finally ask him to try something that he ended up actually enjoying!

    • Not sure about amazing, but amusing for sure. That’s good that he enjoyed it, makes it easier to get him to do it again in the future.

  2. hahaha! I love your husband’s review. I have yet to put mine in the shower yet for my hubs to test out. But that shower gel smells amazing!

    • Thanks. Definitely putting it in the shower for him is the key to getting it used. Must remove any and all obstacles, lol.

  3. I looooove when you have your husband review products. His commentary is absolutely hysterical!

  4. My husbands hands were breaking and bleeding so we tried so many soaps, lotions and prescriptions. We were given a small bar of Caprina at a hotel, used it and immediately loved it. We took the remainder of the bar home and continued to use it. Within a few days his hands had healed and were soft and smooth. We ordered a case and told everyone about this wonderful soap and gave many bars away. My husband had two cancer spots on his face and he started using this soap on his face and one spot cleared up totally and one faded by 80 per cent. The Dr. was amazed when he told him what he was using and said to keep us ing this soap(which we would have done anyways). We now have about 100 relatives and friends using this wonderful soap. I use the bath lotion too and love it. I give Caprina soaps and lotions for birthdays and Christmas, I really believe it is the best of all.

minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any
    ideas or hints? Thanks!
