I’m always excited for mail, but when my Amoda Tea tasting box arrives, I get extra excited to see and taste what’s new for the month.
This month is all about celebrating summer with teas that are good both hot and iced.
The teas in my June box are:
Digest – an herbal blend by Amoda that promotes healthy digestion
This tea is not in most boxes. Instead, most people received Dulcie Chai, which is a chai rooibos. I’ve mentioned before that since I’ve been subscribed for a really long time, I often get substitution teas when there is a strong rooibos tea in the box since I never enjoy those. This is one of those times. Small business for the win!
Tropical Green – a green tea with pineapple and mallow flower
A pineapple flavoured green tea? Could this be the replacement I need for Pineapple Sencha since that’s not being restocked and I can’t bring myself to pay the shipping when ordering direct? I’m actually trying this as I type, and I think this might be a good replacement, although this is really sweet. I’ll have to try it without my usual half teaspoon of sugar.
Revive – spearmint, lavender and rose herbal blend
I don’t think I’m even going to try this one. I complain a lot about rooibos, but these 3 ingredients are also on my un-enjoy list separately, and I can’t even imagine enjoying them together.
Raspberry Mist – white and green tea mix with raspberries
I usually really enjoy berry flavoured teas, and I can’t wait to try this one.
Amoda Tea does a regular monthly contest on their Instagram: follow @amodatea on Instagram and tag @amodatea #amodatea in your tea photos for a chance to win 2 of your favourite monthly box teas.
If you need some suggestions of Amoda Teas to try, you can check out the offerings on their website (the tasting box is $18 per month with free shipping) or read my past monthly reviews (going back to March 2015), or jump straight to my round-up of favourites. Personally, I ordered bags of both Coffee Caramel and Red Paradise this month, so I’d obviously recommend trying those.
