I’m sure if won’t come as a surprise to you when I say I have a large makeup brush collection. I think that goes along with having a large makeup collection. You can never have enough brushes though, it means you can go longer between washing, but does make that washing more work.
I do quite a bit of travelling, and obviously like to take my makeup with me, so having a good travel set of brushes is super handy. I received the Sephora Collection I’m Not Perfect, But My Eyeliner Is Brush Canister to review a while ago, and have really put some of the brushes through a good test.
This set sells for $28, and while it shows as out of stock on the website most of the time, I always see lots in store near the cash. The set contains 5 eye brushes, which are housed in a little metal container.
The handles of these brushes is plastic, and they do have some flex in them. They are quite light weight, but I’ve used them several times and the bristles seem to be decent. I haven’t had any shedding after several washes.
The set contains a small shadow brush, an angled liner brush, a cream shadow brush, a smudge brush, and an angled shadow brush. Of these, I really love the small smudge brush the best. It’s quite tiny, and is great for when I just want to add a little colour in my outer vee, or when I want to run colour below my lower lashes. It feels like the perfect size for concentrated placement. The other brushes are nice, but the little brush is definitely my clear favourite.
Overall, this is a good set that has all the brushes you need to put together an eye look. It travels well, and the quality of the brushes is enough to stand up to repeated use. It’s not the most luxurious set I have, but it’s a good work horse set for regular or occasional use.
