This post is so late this month, and it’s all because of the incredible slowness of Canada Post. It took over a week to receive my Amoda Tea box this month, instead of the usual 3 days. That’s so disappointing and annoying. But it did arrive, and I couldn’t wait to get into it.
The July 2016 Tasting Box contents are not disappointing in any way! This month has the following teas:
Coconut Bellini – coconut and citrus black tea
This is one of the iced tea recommendations, and sounds yummy. I don’t usually ice black teas, but maybe I’ll try it anyways.
Glowing Green – a pure green tea
Green tea is often good for multiple steeps, and this one is no exception. I often get too impatient to multi-steep as I want to move on to a new flavour, but it can be deeply satisfying to taste how a tea changes and deepens with each cup.
African Queen – strawberry fruit tea
This is another iced tea recommendations, and I can’t wait to try it as I find fruit teas make the best iced teas.
Purple Tea – pure purple tea
Purple tea is a thing? Oh my gosh, I love purple everything! I can’t wait to see if it actually steeps purple.
This month’s box had a special extra in it: a $35 giftcard to Namaste TV. I’ve never heard of this Vancouver based company before, but their website is gorgeous. The giftcard isn’t enough to purchase a full season of their shows, but it is enough buy half a season, or reduce the full season price by more than half, or you could use it to buy music, totes or tank tops. I love that it’s enough to actually purchase something, and now if I could just narrow down what I’m going to use it for…
Amoda Tea does a regular monthly contest on their Instagram: follow @amodatea on Instagram and tag @amodatea #amodatea in your tea photos for a chance to win 2 of your favourite monthly box teas.
If you need some suggestions of Amoda Teas to try, you can check out the offerings on their website (the tasting box is $18 per month with free shipping) or read my past monthly reviews (going back to March 2015), or jump straight to my round-up of favourites.
