If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the lookout for new make-up brushes. I’ve eyed up Quo Cosmetic brushes before, but never taken the plunge to buy one of their seasonal collection kits. Lucky me, I received the Brush Up Brush Set from the Fall 2016 Collection to try out.

Quo Cosmetics Brush Up Brush Set (Fall 2016 Collection)

This brush set contains 6 brushes and a bag. There is powder brush, angled blush brush, flat foundation brush, fluffy eye shadow brush, angled liner brush, and a lip brush. The bag is long enough to hold all the brushes, which have full length handles, but is small enough that it’s not too bulky.

The handles on the brushes are tapered, and really comfortable to hold. They have a metal brushed-finish ferrule and a matte soft-finish plastic end. I like the styling of the handles, they’re very sleek looking.

These are synthetic brushes, with black bristles. The bristles are quite soft. I find the powder and blush brushes to be loose and not very densely packed. I don’t have much experience with using flat foundation brushes (I prefer a sponge) so can’t really compare it. The eyeshadow brush is very similar to the Quo eyeshadow brushes that come in the holiday eyeshadow palettes. The liner brush is a little thin and has less bristles than most of my other liners, but the lip brush is quite dense and stiff.

Overall, I like the brushes in this set. They look stylish, and perform on par with several other brushes in my collection. They aren’t as dense or soft as some of my higher end brushes (like Tweezerman or Sephora Collection professional), but these don’t carry a high-end price tag, and they don’t feel cheap either. As a drugstore option, I think these are pretty good.
