Jan 202017

Can you believe it’s already the 3rd week of January? It seems like time flies by so fast when you’re an adult. But one good thing about time passing quickly is that fun deliveries arrive faster. And that means it’s time for my first Amoda Tea unboxing of 2017.

Amoda Tea Jan 2017

The teas this month are:
Alishan High Mountain – pure oolong tea
I like that oolong teas can be steeped multiple times, and the taste is a little different each time. The more you steep it, the richer and deeper the taste is. For this reason, I tend to prefer the 2nd or 3rd steep of an oolong tea.

An Evening with Eros – chocolate and cinnamon rooibos
I didn’t actually receive this, which means it probably has a pronounced rooibos flavour. I received Madagascar Dream, which is a chocolate and vanilla black tea.

Makalu Clonal SFTGFOP1 – plain black tea
This may be a plain black tea, but it’s supposed to have a chocolate flavour due to how it is grown and processed.

S’Mores – black tea with cocoa nibs and marshmallow root
Who doesn’t love s’mores? I know I love them, and that makes me excited to try this tea.

The teas this month have a chocolate theme, with 3 of the teas containing the flavour. Each of the teas introduces chocolate in a different way, so it will be interesting to see how the taste differs between them.
