How many steps do you have in your beauty routine? Just cleanser and moisturizer? Or do you have a serum or two in between? I love using serums, mainly because they give a specific boost to your routine.

I was given the chance to try out 2 serums from Eden’s Semilla: a Hyaluronic Acid Serum and a Vitamin C Serum. They arrived just as I ran out of my previous serum, so I jumped right into trying them.

Both of these serums are mostly for hydration. That’s something that almost every skin routine could use. I may have combination skin, but I definitely find that extra hydration helps reduce oiliness and breakouts.

When it comes to these specific serums, I definitely preferred one over the other.

The Hyaluronic Acid Serum is all about hydration. I personally didn’t really care for this one. It did seem very hydrating, but it took a while to sink in, and left a sticky residue behind. I don’t like sticky.

I greatly preferred the Vitamin C Serum. It’s meant to hydrate and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. I never know how to judge claims like that, but I do know that this was hydrating, and sank into my skin really quickly, with no residue or stickiness. I liked the moisturizing boost it gave to my skin, and have been using it morning and night.

Overall, serums are a fun, and often beneficial, addition to your skincare routine. I enjoy trying them out, and found the Eden’s Semilla Vitamin C Serum a nice product to use. I’m not sure if it’s reducing my fine lines and wrinkles (I prefer to pretend I don’t have any), but it does hydrate well. That’s good enough for me!
